I plan on having my second book, I Don’t Belong Here, published by the end of the summer/beginning of the fall.

Announcements and such.
I’d don’t like posting my poems on here, but I haven’t posted in a while—new job, sorry—and probably won’t be able to until this Wed. So, here’s some content for you.
I am the knave
The Jack of Spades
With one eye on the door
I am the fool
One too cruel
Always grasping at more
And tables turned
The Man has come for me
The eleventh hour
My luck now sour
The rope is in the tree
Dangling from the noose
While I, the knave, is loosed
The Man hangs from the tree
He took the rope from me
Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed me white as snow
I’m on vacation with my beloved wife of five years. I’ve got some ideas for some sweet posts, which I’ll jump on when I get back in town on Friday. Enjoy the break!
I really struggled with what my first post on the site should be, and then I suddenly realized that it might be best for me to explain the mission of this new site. It would help you all to understand what I’m trying to do, and, if in six months I get a little lost, this will help to keep me focused.
I’m not what you would consider “Mr. Social.” I’m very shy, to an almost ridiculous degree. You wouldn’t know it to see me teach or preach, but in person, I’m terribly shy around strangers. I have a very frustrating speech impediment that acts up when I’m nervous or excited. If that weren’t bad enough, I’m already difficult to understand because of the sometimes raspy, sometimes mumbling tone of my voice. Continue Reading…
Some of you might be wondering why I haven’t been posting since I switched the site over.
To be honest, I wanted to be back in the swing of things last week, but that didn’t happen. For a while, I couldn’t get my mind in gear for writing. Then, my schedule didn’t cooperate. Now, I’m sleep deprived and can’t keep awake at night.
Hopefully, this will all be resolved by this weekend. I’m currently working on Sunday’s post, and my mind is slowly filling up with ideas. So, please stick around. IDontBelong will soon be fully launched. (Though, a full site redesign will probably be held off until Standard Theme 3 is released in a few weeks.
I launched Phillip320.com last year because I love writing and learned to share with others in preschool. Today, I’m shuttering Phillip320 and rebranding as IDontBelong.com. Continue Reading…
So, I haven’t posted in over a week, and I thought I should explain why. Continue Reading…
Sorry, folks, but I won’t be able to make tonight’s post a reality. It’s in my head and in my heart, but I have no time to write it up. My sister is getting married, and I spent all night helping to set that up. Long story short, I’m exhausted, I miss my wife and daughter, and I don’t want to spend my remaining 30 minutes of consciousness writing.
So, I’m sorry I missed the deadline, but I’m not sorry that I’m choosing my family and sleep over a blog post.
